With the ever-increasing threat to our security beginning to affect our lives in countless ways, near daily news of terror attacks across the globe and the fear of a potential invasion of our personal and electronic information all looming large, the modern world can sometimes be a daunting place to live. However, we at Operational Security Professionals are here to you keep you up to date on all of the latest security issues from around the globe.

In this, the third issue of our bi-monthly publication, we are delighted to announce that we are to be hosting the Global Cyber Security Summit in May at Ardoe House Hotel, Aberdeenshire. Also read a preevent review for the Security & Counter Terror Expo 2016, which we look forward to attending at the Olympia in London later this month.

Within this issue we will be taking a look at whether transport locations can be designed to effectively reduce the impact of a terrorist incident. We’ll delve deeper into the threat to our cyber security with the help of BeCyberSure, BTO Solicitors LLP and Net Defence as well as reviewing Protection of Assets with Trident Manor.

We follow the story of Al Jarvis, of Combat Stress, who will be running this year’s London Marathon in full Body Armour for the Army Benevolent Fund and we also introduce to you the incredible Wings For Warriors. Based in Aberdeenshire, they give wounded, injured or sick servicemen the skills to achieve an exciting, rewarding and sustainable future for many years to come.

We look forward to hearing from you all. Please contact me with your newsworthy contributions. You will see Operational Security Professionals at all the major conferences and exhibitions over the coming months. I welcome your thoughts.

Best wishes,
Editor
